What is the Dubi Cars playbook and why did we create it?

Even before we had to work from home and socially distance, there was a view that the automotive market globally was on the edge of a precipice. Therefore, I think we all took in a sharp breath at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and like, all industries, waited to see what the “new norm” was going to look like. I personally don't subscribe to the “new norm” philosophy. The automotive industry has had to deal with a "new norm” on a very frequent basis and is very used to adapting, but there is no doubt that COVID-19 has changed the way people buy and sell cars. I don't believe this is a temporary change. Rather, this is as fundamental as when the Internet was launched, or mobile phones were invented. As with all big industry changes, there will be winners and losers. I first started working in automotive classifieds in 1996, so I have seen the radical changes (and phenomenal opportunities) that the Internet has created. In fact, I managed first-hand a business going through the Great Recession of 2007, so I know that COVID-19 has presented and will continue to present huge challenges for the industry. On the flip side, it has also created opportunities for businesses that want to focus on retailing used cars online.
